Ingredients: basil, onion, cinnamon, bay leaf, all spice, pepper, red pepper, cloves, salt
Recipe: 1kg of meat, 1 cup Cretan olive oil, 3 large onions, tomato juice, 2 cloves garlic, 1 glass red wine and ½ tablespoons mix for stifado. Cook the meat in olive oil and wine for 10 minutes. Then add 2 cups water, onions, tomatoes, garlic, salt, mix for stifado and cook for ½ hours.
